Molly at 12 weeks

Molly's Height: 14 inchesMolly's Weight: 20 PoundsToday's topic is Molly and her evil catz. But first we have to tell you about our first visit to dr. Rachel. We found a new holistic vet, one who combines Eastern with Western medicine, just what we've been looking for. Irvington Veterinary Clinic in Portland, ORI think she's brilliant, we took our Nyx to see her and we spend almost 3 hours for a first visit, granted Nyx was very ill so it took a while to get all treatments done but the bill didn't show that amount of time spend. So now it was Molly's turn, Molly was up for her second round of deworming and puppy shots. I learned something new, namely that puppy need to be vaccinated against Parvo every 3- 4 weeks until they're 16 weeks old. Who knew? I didn't. I thought pups just needed 2 rounds of puppy cocktails and a rabies. But not so said dr. Rachel and she is not pro over-vaccination. Of course I didn't believe her and looked it up online and wadda ya think? She was right. Hmm.. I probably had puppies vaccinated at an older age I think.Dr. RachelSo Molly got her shot. She got the whole work up, weight, height, eyes, ears etc. and she was healthy as can be and got the seal of approval ;-) We used interceptor as wormer and she and no ill side effects. of course she left with a full belly of treats and samples ;-) And she got a nice welcome packet will all kinds of goodies. It is so nice to be able to discuss feeding a raw diet with your vet! Our prior vet who I love dearly as a person was absolutely against raw feeding and in the end that turned me off because I had to lie to her every time I saw her.
