Molly at 9 and 10 weeks

Molly's Height: 10 inches
Molly's Weight: 16 Pounds

You have to forgive me the dates don't match I had some catching up to do. I wrote Molly's blog entries but could not decide on the design, none of the ones I tried out was to my liking and in the end I decided to design my own as usual. In the meanwhile I became non-active because I went down with a sinus infection and before you know it 3 weeks past.

The design is finished now and I can transfer the entries. I hope to be up to dat by the end of the week ;-)

Molly has been here for 2 weeks now and they have been filled with opening doors to go outside to potty and play. She is adjusting pretty well to my schedule which means sleep till at least 10:00 AM and a siesta in the afternoon from 3:00 till 7:00 PM in between we play and snuggle and play and snuggle and eat. ;-) Christmas was here and went by and so did the New Year, we didn't notice much of it and also didn't pay much attention to it, busy as we were with out new child, we had our own entertainment.
Waldo had 2 weeks off to help and bond with Miss Molly which we think is so important taking some days off to bond with your new pup. As a rescuer I always hesitate to adopt a pup out to people who work all day, unless they have made arrangements like doggy day care or the pups goes to work with them or it stays with Grandma during the day. Puppies this young need their humans, socializing is so important at this age and they can not be left alone for 8 or 9 hours a day. Doing so can cause behavioral problems at a later stage.

We have not taken Molly anywhere yet other than the local Pet Boutique PetUtopia, the weather hasn't been great and we think she is not ready for a doggy park yet, she needs her second round of puppy shots and than we will go to puppy romp next Sunday.

Molly will be going to the vet tomorrow for a check-up and her shots, we're excited to see how she will react to new people and the new environment. She has already met the neighbor girl who has a Border Collie herself and is 9 years old and very calm and respectful of dogs. I would not hesitate to let her take Molly for a walk.

Molly did wonderful at the pet store of course the owners, who we have come to know very well over the years, all ooohhed and aaahhed over her. It's a fantastic little store, they organize so much for us humans and also for the pups, scavenger hunt in the store, many courses and workshops like nose work, stay fit with your dog and pilatus ball work with your dog to stretch and strengthen his back muscles. This is a wonderful workshop being done by and awesome trainer Bobbie Lyons. Bobbie's website is listed to the right here on my blog, or you can click here for more info.
They made sure to greet Fynn first and had treats for him, he has been going there since he was a puppy and they want to acknowledge him that their relationship with him was still the same and not give all the attention to Miss Molly who had to wait for her turn.

Molly was a big hit with everyone at the store customers and employees and who would not be smitten with that adorable face with the whiskers and freckles and a happy go lucky personality?
we stayed for a while, it was good to socialize for Molly in a safe environment.
She loves to travel in the car and goes into her travel crate without a peep. During the night she also sleeps in her crate and sleeps through the night till 7:00 AM than Waldo lets her out to pee and back she goes for another couple of hours.

During the day she snoozes with Fynn on his bed, Fynn has been home from Doggy Day Care because of the Holiday schedule, it will be interesting to see how she will react to being the day alone with me when Fynn goes back to play!

Here a few pics of Molly inspecting the yard after Fynn went with his dad to he doggy park.
